Recall that Tinubu supported Olusegun Abraham, against Akeredolu in the Ondo State governorship primary, which Akeredolu eventually won before going on to win the election proper.
This brewed some animosity between Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), Governor of Ondo State and`Bola Tinubu, National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), which is yet to completely thaw out.
This became obvious on Thursday when Akeredolu refused to shake hands with Tinubu at the rally of the party in Osogbo, Osun State, ahead of the September 22 governorship election in the state.
The Ondo State Governor bided his time in the throng of people around Tinubu and shielded himself with Abiola Ajimobi, Governor of Oyo State, before filing past the former Governor of Lagos State, whom other party bigwigs were shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with.
