HERE IS A POEM TITLED
RAPE BY
AKINKUNMI AKINWALE EMMANUEL
I curse the day we met
I curse the very moment our path cross,
I wish i had known
I wish i never met him.
He took advantage of my innocence,
I was ignorant to believe him.
Where did i go wrong
Why is life so unfair
Why should this be my lot?
How do i explain this to my grandchildren,
Who will listen to my story,
Who will believe it all happen without my consent?
He took advantage of my foolishness
He took away my Dignity
He took away my Pride, my most value treasure
Life can be so unfair
when the things you never imagine happens to you.
-Akinkunmi Akinwale Emmanuel
